Problem: Moving out of campus and apartment housing produces lots of unnecessary waste that is sent to landfills. For reference, Madison sends over 1 million pounds of material to the landfill each August move-out cycle. A lot of these items are in good condition and should be kept in the cycle of use.

Mission: This team is focused on decreasing the waste produced during move-out time and extending the life of usable items that usually get thrown out. We are planning a donate-and-take event where students can donate their items that are in good condition that they do not want anymore. The “take” event displays all items collected from other badgers that students can take for their new apartment. By donating our usable unwanted items, we can create a positive impact during move-out time!
